Another one of my hobbies

What’s up guys? I wanted to write something different. Something not about travelling or my job. I wanted to share with you guys one of my many hobbies and that is….

Reading books. I’m not only about beauty as you guys can see now, I also have a brain underneath this beautiful soft hair 😉. This blogpost will be about my favorite books at the moment. So before I start talking about my favorite books at the moment, I want to let you know what kind of books I like to read. I am a big fan of positive books which help you move forward and evolve as a person. I also like to read books based on true stories. Though I also like fiction books as long as the story they tell is good and different. So it really depends on my mood or how good the book is. A while ago I saw some bible books in the hotel where I stay in Seattle when I go for work and I must say they looked really interesting.  I might buy one the next time I go. So here we go……

The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving a F**k
Does this book really need an explanation!? I got this book from my housemate Marina and I absolutely recommend this to everyone. This book is basically about doing what you want to do not giving a f**k about other people’s opinion of you. Spending more time doing what you love to do. This book helped me a lot, as I always cared about what others thought of me, but why? They are not living my life and well as they say “opinions are like buttholes, everyone has one”.

Ikigai 生き甲斐 (pronounced as Ick-ee-guy)
According to Japanese believes, everyone has an ikigai. An ikigai is the reason one has to get out of bed in the morning, basically someone’s purpose. Ikigai is one of the most significant factors a person needs to live a long and happy life. The Japanese island of Okinawa, where ikigai is believed to have its origins, is said to be home to the largest population of people over the 100 years old in the world. Could the concept of ikigai contribute to longevity? I was completely hooked on this book and I still am. I would rather not finish it if I am honest. Though I have 6 pages left to read and I still need to figure out what my reason to get out of bed is…

13 minutes
I read this book in no time just because I couldn’t wait to know how it ended. The book is about a popular girl named Natasha, who was found dead in a river but paramedics managed to revive her after she was dead for 13 minutes. The whole book revolves around the same question: was Natasha’s accident really an accident or did someone try to murder her? Then it tells how while Natasha, or Tasha, tries to recover from this traumatic experience, her best friends start acting in a strange way; reason why Natasha goes back to an old friend named Rebecca. If you read this book you will sure wonder who the real victim is. The story is really good and I've actually read on the Internet that there's going to be a movie on Netflix based on this book and I honestly can't wait for it.

So that's it for this post. What about you guys, what kind of books do you like to read?
